Mari Aoyama is Greek on her mother’s side and Japanese on her father’s side. She studied at Parsons School of Design in New York, Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture in Paris, and Esmod in Tokyo.

“I have always lived between different worlds. So I feel my works as a bridge that connects these worlds but also as a means that pushes me to know myself, other people, life more deeply. Creation helps me express what cannot be said in words. I seek beauty, inspiration and magic in my everyday life. I believe in the value of detail and the gentle, discreet power of natural materials, such as silk and handmade paper. I have deep respect for creators who work with their hands endless hours with passion, dedication, and love to create a unique work of art.” M.AOYAMA
