Telling a story through textures, color, and form
Having completed studies in film and video, Joanna Peters has also graduated from The Surrey Institute of Art and Design. Using gold and silver, all jewellery pieces are handmade by herself.
Joanna prefers to approach her work as micro sculptures, as pieces that stand alone in their own right, serving a unique dialogue between the wearer and the object. She aims to achieve this by telling a story through textures, color, and form. Themes are often youthful, joyful, and familiar approached with a feminine aesthetic, contrasting the masculine techniques and skills needed.
