“Beauty is found in non-symmetrical formations which adorn eccentric necks, ears, heads..”

Johanna Daniil has an individual approach to jewellery design. Influences from dressmaking and vintage couture differentiate the anatomy of the jewellery, resulting in statement objects that question the art of embellishment. Beauty is found in non-symmetrical formations that become glamorous ornaments, meant to adorn eccentric necks, ears, heads..

Her last collection is composed of clasps covered in grosgrain ribbon, baroque pearls, grey crystals and silky goose feathers. The balance between the ferocity of nature and the human need for idealization, beauty and glamour is explored. Shapes and materials reflect this contrast between natural and man-made, creating jewelry that befit contemporary, urban everyday life.
